5.car availability

Cars are available all over Bucharest, Iasi and other cities upon request. When making the reservation, please be sure that you complete the exact location where you need us to bring the car (e.g. Otopeni Airport, your hotel, your address…). Depending on the location of pick up and drop off, additional charges will be made.

6.terms of payment

EAR Tours & Travel accepts American Express, MasterCard/Eurocard and Visa. Cash payments can be made in Euro, US Dollars and Romanian currency. Payment will be done in 2 days from the moment we receive your reconfirmation of the reservation.

7.rental rates

EARomania reserves the right to change the prices without prior notification. The fixed price following the reservation remains unchanged. Oil, maintenance and third party liability are included. Fuel is not included. The client must bring back the car with the same level of fuel; otherwise the client must pay for the missing gasoline with the same rate as the gas stations have.

Some of the cars have a driving limit of 400km/day included in the rate for a reservation between 1 - 3 days. The charge for passing the 400 km limit, is of 0.2 euro/km. Minimum rental is two days (48 hours). First hour over the 24 hours will be free of charge. Over one hour delay a full day will be charged according to standard rate. For monthly or long term arrangements information on request. For any extra driver, a 5 euro/day tax will be added on top of the rental rates.

8.special equipment

Baby seat and snow chains may be hired free of charge.

9.liability deposit

• The liability deposit submitted is determined depending on the car make.
• The liability deposit will be returned when the client gives over the car.
• The liability deposit will be returned totally only if the car is in the same technical and esthetical conditions as when the client concluded the contract, if all the afferent documents, accessories and equipment had been submitted.
• If the car is scratched, or it displays places where the paint is scratched, if it is broken in any way, the liability deposit will not be completely returned.
• For any defect caused by any other person or by the car's driver, the police's acknowledgement (report) must be brought as well. Otherwise, the payment of the damages will be done by the client.

11.delivery/collection

Free for pick up and drop off in Bucharest: Dacia Logan, Dacia Logan MCV, Opel Astra 2.0 gas, Ford Focus C-Max, Renault Megane, Ford Mondeo, Skoda Octavia, Toyota Avensis, Mercedes E - Classe.

We do not ask extra charge for bringing the car within Bucharest city limits, to your location or to Otopeni Airport. Bringing or returning the car to another city then Bucharest or Iasi will cost you an extra charge.

The car is given over to the client in good conditions and any complaint referring to the condition of the car can be done only before the concluding of the contract.

13.penalties

• In the case of the loss of the car's documents, the client has to pay a fee of 200 EURO.
• The non-observance of the term for the reception of the car attracts with it the obligation of the client to pay each day of delay at the price determined by the contract.
• If the car is involved in an accident and by the minute concluded by the police it results that the fault belongs to the client, each day spent by the car in service will be the expenditure of the client for the price determined before.

14.cancellation charges

In case of cancellation with less than 48 hours until the start of your reservation, the equivalent of 1 rental day will be charged. In case of changing the rental period in a less number of days, after receiving the car, the amount will not be refunded.

15.other obligations of the client

1. The client binds himself to

   • make available for EAR Tours & Travel all the necessary documents for the purpose of any kind of investigations caused by a break-down or theft of the car.
   • pay all the fines issued on his name or at the time of driving the car which is the object of this contract.
   • to pay the fines resulted following the illegal parking and all the costs resulted following the actions of the local authorities in respect to the car which makes the object of the current contract.
   • to supply fuel to the car which makes the object of the current contract only with the type of fuel specified in the contract.
2. It is forbidden to drive the car by another person than those specified in the contract, otherwise the client must pay a fine equivalent to 1000 EURO at the exchange rate of BNR on the date of the concluding of the contract.

3. It is forbidden to use the car which makes the object of the current contract:

   • for robbery purposes or other offenses stipulated by the law;
   • for training purposes;
   • the participation in any kind of competition.

16.border crossing

Cars are allowed to cross the border in certain conditions. Ask for more informations if you want to cross the border with the rented car.
